KOTO is a cryptocurrency forked from Zcash. The main characteristics are:
Anonymous coin transfer
The feature is inherited from Zcash. Both both transparent and anonymous transfer are supported. Using anonymous transfer, the sender address, receiver address or both can be hidden.
CPU friendly hash algorithm
The hash algorithm used by KOTO doesn’t suit GPU. It is possible for GPU to mine KOTO, but it would make more sense to use GPU power for mining GPU friendly coins.
So, it is expected that GPU power would stay away from KOTO, that would make the hurdle lower to mine KOTO even with low spec PCs.
